SLEEPER Magazine is the first collaborative print project by PAPERCUT (Lex Milo and myself).

This passion project brings together the duo's mixed-media art styles to tell the story of the JDM golden era. Vol 1 rewinds us through the different eras of cars our parents had, to the hotboy cars we wish we had, and into a few favourite Edmonton JDM cars today. The limited edition 80-page book includes playful editorials, exclusive interviews with ex-import models and car accessories brands, and more.

Together we produced the photo and 3D content, curated editorials, researched and conducted interviews with international JDM icons, designed and prepared the magazine for printing, scheduled the roll-out on social media, and hosted a JDM car meet to celebrate the launch of the magazine.

SHOP SLEEPER MAGAZINE

SLEEPER was launched in August of 2024 at Sub 60 Racing as a car meet-slash-gallery. Select editorial photographs were shown in a gallery inside the garage accompanied by the cars featured in each spread. JDM enthusiasts and drivers all over Alberta were invited to show off their cars and close out the 2024 season. Gallery sponsored by @vestatecanada.
